Job Symbols: Copy to Global ( Utility Functions )

Step-by-step instructions :

1 . Home > Utilities > Utility Functions > Copy Job to Global > Job Symbols: Copy to Global . If prompted to do so, enter the " Utility Password " that has been set up for your network.

2 . A selection dialog opens. On it is a list of the symbols in your current Job .

 ARROW, RIGHT
 ARROW, UP
 ARROW, DOWN
 BOLT_QTY


Note: If there are no symbols in your current Job, you will be notified of such, and this operation will end without the selection dialog being opened.

Alternative 1 : Select the names of the symbols that you want to be copied to the global symbols repository, then press the " OK " button at the bottom of this selection dialog. Go to step 3.

Alternative 2 : Press the " Cancel " button to end the Job Symbols: Copy to Global operation. Do not continue.

3 . The symbols selected in step 2 continue to exist in your Job as symbols and copies of these same symbols are now global symbols . Users who want to use the symbols you just copied in their own Jobs can do so by using a related utility called Global Symbols: Copy to Job .

Tip: Use the Project Items List utility to confirm that this change has indeed taken place.
